Disney 100 Presents Exclusive Theater Screenings of Three Pixar Classics

Clear your calendars, because Disney and Pixar have something special in store for you. Starting in July, three iconic Pixar films – Toy Story, The Incredibles, and Coco – are returning to the big screen for a limited time. These screenings will take place in select theaters across the US, spanning from July to September. Disney is bringing back these beloved classics as part of their ongoing celebration of their centennial anniversary, known as Disney100. If you’re excited about reliving these fantastic stories, tickets are already available for purchase on the Fandango website.

Toy Story, the film that started it all, will be shown from July 21 to August 3. The movie, first released in 1995, introduces us to Woody, a toy cowboy who becomes jealous when his owner, Andy, gets a new Buzz Lightyear action figure. In an unexpected turn of events, Woody and Buzz find themselves lost and must find their way back to Andy before he moves away. The Toy Story franchise has since expanded with three sequels, with Toy Story 4 releasing in 2019. And there’s more to come, as Disney has announced that Toy Story 5 is currently in development.

Get ready for some superhero action with The Incredibles, which will be back in theaters from September 1 to September 14. Released in 2004, The Incredibles follows the Parr family, each member possessing special powers. Despite their efforts to lead a normal life, their heroic duties call them back into action. When Mr. Incredible, the patriarch of the family, gets involved in a top-secret mission, the entire family must join forces to save the day. The Incredibles franchise continued with Incredibles 2 in 2018 and is responsible for delivering that iconic line we all know and love.

Last but not least, Coco will captivate audiences once again. This visually stunning and emotionally gripping film premiered in 2017 and tells the story of Miguel, a young boy with a passion for music. Set during the Dia de los Muertos festival, Coco follows Miguel’s journey to uncover the truth behind his family’s ban on music. Along the way, he finds himself in the Land of the Dead, embarking on a transformative adventure that reveals the importance of family and following one’s dreams.

But wait, there’s more! Disney is not only bringing back these Pixar classics, but they’re also giving limited runs to a selection of their other beloved films. On July 7, kick off the summer with Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. And brace yourselves for the chilly return of Frozen on August 4. In addition to these, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, and Moana will also make their way back to theaters. For tickets and more information, head over to the Fandango website.
