Director’s Cryptic Tease Suggests Star Wars Outlaws Could Feature a Unique Cooking System

Are you curious about the culinary creations in a distant galaxy? Star Wars Outlaws might just offer players the opportunity to explore that aspect, according to a tantalizing hint from Ubisoft Massive’s creative director, Julian Gerighty.

During a panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Gerighty engaged in a conversation about Tatooine and the team’s newly created moon known as Toshara. While discussing topics like speeders and the aesthetics of the geography, Gerighty dropped subtle hints about two surprises that could be encountered on Toshara:

“I don’t want to spoil everything,” he said, “but there’s an incredibly fascinating predator on Toshara. If you have a fear of frogs, this might not be the game for you. It’s a rare occurrence, though. Secondly, food plays a vital role in the Star Wars universe. If you derive pleasure from discovering alien culinary wonders, this experience will captivate you.”

Did Gerighty just confirm the existence of a cooking system? It’s uncertain. However, cooking systems have become quite common in many games, particularly open-world ones, so it wouldn’t be surprising. The Star Wars universe hasn’t delved into in-depth, interactive cooking scenarios before, except for the release of official cookbooks.
