However, players quickly discovered that certain Diablo 4 classes did not have class-specific Uniques in certain slots. As a result, the game would drop “Uber Uniques” instead of the intended reward. Blizzard promptly addressed this issue and removed the Uber Uniques from the game. They have now been reintroduced through a Diablo 4 patch 1.0.4 hotfix, although obtaining them remains extremely rare.
Blizzard has confirmed that only 142 accounts obtained an Uber Unique during the time they were available. These items will not be removed from those accounts. However, if similar issues occur in the future, Blizzard may take action to ensure fairness within the game.
Looking ahead to the first season of Diablo 4, players can anticipate the introduction of Malignant Hearts, which are corrupted organs that can be used as powerful weapons. However, the first season will not feature ranked leaderboards. The Diablo general manager, Rod Fergusson, has confirmed this on Twitter, indicating that ranked leaderboards may be added in season three. Despite this, the spirit of competition will remain strong during the Season of the Malignant, ensuring a fair race for players.
