Details Revealed for Global Launch Timings of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is set to release this week, and we now have information on the global release times. EA, the publisher, has confirmed via a tweet that the game will launch simultaneously worldwide, eliminating the need to change locations, as was the case with Elden Ring’s release. The highly anticipated adventure led by Cal Kestis will unlock on April 28 at 9:30 am IST in India, 9 pm PT in the US, and 5 am BST in the UK. EA has provided a detailed infographic showcasing the release times for various locations, which are direct conversions. Additionally, preload times have been announced for those who have pre-ordered the game.

The preload times for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor vary depending on the platform, with PC players having a significant advantage. Players on Steam or the EA app can download and prepare the game for launch day as early as tonight, April 25, at 8:30 pm IST in India and 8 am PT in the US. Meanwhile, PS5 and Xbox Series S/X players can preload the game on April 26 at 9:30 am IST or April 25 at 9 pm PT.

This advanced three-day download period is a logical decision due to the game’s massive file size, which is 155GB on PC, 147GB on PS5, and 140GB on Xbox Series X. However, the Xbox Series S version is only 44GB in size since it doesn’t include 4K textures. As revealed in a Reddit post from last week, even owners of the physical CD version will still need to download additional files, rendering the traditional “insert disc and play” concept obsolete. This is not surprising considering that PS5 game discs can only hold up to 100GB of data, but EA could have opted for a two-disc release.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor PC System Requirements

Earlier this year, developer Respawn Entertainment released the system requirements for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. They are as follows:

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor ‘Minimum’ PC Requirements

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor ‘Recommended’ PC Requirements

  • Processor (CPU): Intel Core i5-11600K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
  • Graphics (GPU): Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT
  • RAM: 16GB

Five years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Cal Kestis has become a powerful Jedi Knight and continues his fight against the Empire. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor enhances the mechanics of the previous game by introducing new tools inspired by Dark Souls, such as fast travel, which allows for easy movement across different environments. It also expands the combat system by adding various fighting styles, including dual-wielding, Kylo Ren’s tanky and hard-hitting ‘crossguard’ style, twin-blade, and more. Pre-ordering the game grants bonus items, including a Hermit-themed outfit, lightsaber, and a Combustion Blaster set. The Deluxe Edition offers special skins for the adorable droid BD-1.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be available on April 28 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X.
