Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy Watch 6, which is expected to be the successor to the current-generation Galaxy Watch 5. The wearable device is likely to feature a rotating bezel, as teased in leaked renders by a tipster. In recent online leaks, the Galaxy Watch 6 is said to be powered by a new Exynos W930 chip that outperforms the current-generation Galaxy Watch 5’s processor. The Bluetooth SIG website listed the new Samsung chip with model name Exynos W930, which will work with a compatible RF chip to support Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. The Exynos W930 is believed to be an improved version of the Exynos W920 processor that powers recent Galaxy smartwatches. This leak contradicts a prior report that Samsung would use an Exynos W980 chip on the Galaxy Watch 6, which offered 10% better performance than the W920 processor. Samsung is expected to launch new smartwatches and other devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, at its next Galaxy Unpacked event in South Korea in July. Stay tuned for more updates.
