As you know, Apple has launched the Siri Shortcuts feature in its latest iOS 12 updates last fall which adds the capability to easily access some tasks within seconds. Just after its launch, thousands of apps support Siri Shortcuts to control themselves to facilitate easier functioning. Even, the user can make some custom shortcuts for your routine or tasks which you want to perform.
Apple’s Siri is one of the most popular intelligent assistant with over 10 billion Siri requests per month. However, it still lags behind the most popular Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa who gained amazing popularity through Android and Smart speakers including Google Home and Amazon Echo. But now, Apple wants to redirect the popularity back to Siri by introducing this Shortcut feature which simplified the way Siri works.
Siri shortcuts work with the apps you have installed in your device. One of the latest shortcuts assigned by Apple is from American Airlines which let you to know the flight status and all the details associated by with just uttering “Hey Siri, flight update”. Siri will take care of all your details associated with your time starting from its Departure time, the boarding gate number, distance from your current location and your estimated time to reach to the Flight. Everything will be handled by Siri just by saying that simple shortcut.

Apart from this, you can order pizza, foods, and can perform many other operations just through your voice. You don’t have to order them yourself as Siri will do for you. Also, there are a lot more shortcuts on the way to simplify the user experience with Siri. Meanwhile, you can also create your own custom shortcuts to get your work done instantly using your voice.

To create your own shortcuts, head on to the Setting>>Siri & Search>>All Shortcuts or can simply launch the Shortcuts app. Once you enter the reach to this destination, you will see all your shortcuts including some shortcuts suggestions. If you like any of the shortcuts from the suggestions you can click on them to add it in your Shortcuts library or you can simply create your own. Just hit on ‘Create Shortcuts’ option and choose the genre from which you want to access that shortcut. Choose the shortcut from the available options and add them in your Library. And in this way, you can make your own custom Siri Shortcuts to get your work done using your voice.
