Coros has announced a February update for its Vertix, Apex and Pace smartwatches. The new software is already rolling out to customers registered for the company’s Beta Group, with firmware number 3.0307.0117.
The update includes three new features for the wearables. The first is the Running Form Test, designed for use with the Pod 1 or Pod 2 performance optimization devices worn on the waist. The gadget completes a short “test” to provide insights on your form and helps you identify where you are performing well and where you can improve. The new Daily Stress tool collects data to enable you to understand how your stress levels may affect your well-being. Plus, Wellness Check allows you to quickly measure your stress level, HR, HRV and breathing rate; Coros suggests that you take this test when relaxed for a better comparison against the baseline.
A fourth new feature is available via the app: personalized marathon training plans. The tool uses your recent exercise data to develop a workout plan to prepare you for the race. You can download the update via the latest version of the COROS App or the Testflight app. If you wish to join the Coros Beta Group, you can do so via the company’s website. The update will reportedly launch publicly in early February for the following models: Vertix 1, Vertix 2, Apex 2, Apex 1 Pro, Apex 2 Pro, Pace 2 and Pace 3.
