In celebration of the highly anticipated release of Final Fantasy 16, Square Enix has unveiled a unique exhibition at the Tower Of London featuring a real-life replica of the protagonist Clive Rosfield’s sword.
Open to fans from June 20th to July 19th, the Tower Of London exhibit showcases Invictus, the iconic sword from Final Fantasy 16. This special exhibition is a collaboration with the Royal Armouries and can be found on the first floor of London’s historic White Tower.
The creation of the sword was no small feat, taking swordsmith Tod Todeschini several months to complete. Utilizing various metalworking techniques, Todeschini expressed his satisfaction with the finished product and his pride in having it displayed alongside the Royal Armouries collection.
The Tower Armouries’ keeper, Emma Mawdsley, expressed great enthusiasm for Final Fantasy fans visiting the museum and highlighted the significance of sword crafting in the realm of video games.
Final Fantasy 16 is set to launch on the PlayStation 5 on June 22nd. Ahead of its release, Ryota Suzuki, the battle director and renowned Devil May Cry designer, described the game as his personal masterpiece.
