Clean Up the Grime: Unconventional Mercenaries Take Charge

The cleaning crew arrives, armed with hoses, ready to cleanse the group of mismatched mercenaries in an exciting new poster for “Expend4ables.” In an exclusive clip from Collider, the man in charge of the grueling task uses a pressure washer to remove layers of dirt, revealing a vibrant and star-studded image underneath. Accompanied by the energetic sounds of Red Hot Chili Peppers’ 2002 hit “Can’t Stop,” the poster showcases the familiar characters we’ve grown to love over the franchise’s impressive 13-year run. Dressed in sleek all-black attire, holding their weapons with confidence, we see Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, Dolph Lundgren, Tony Jaa, Randy Couture, and Andy García prepared for their mission against the villain, Suarto, played by Iko Uwais.

Scott Waugh’s action-packed feature follows these rugged fighters as they join forces to prevent Suarto from carrying out an arms mission that could ignite a war between Russia and the United States, potentially causing World War III. Stallone, Lundgren, Couture, and Statham reprise their roles from the previous films, while Jackson, Jacob Scipio, and Levy Tran are fresh additions to the team. Megan Fox portrays Gina, a CIA agent and the girlfriend of Statham’s character, Lee Christmas, and Andy García also appears as a CIA agent. The movie also includes performances from Sheila Shah and Eddie Hall in undisclosed roles.

Throughout the years, we have witnessed this team engage in intense battles and explosive encounters with various enemies, and the fourth installment promises to be even more extravagant than its predecessors. By combining iconic action stars from the ’80s with the newer talents of Statham and Jackson, “Expend4ables” guarantees an action-packed masterpiece.

In May, Arnold Schwarzenegger, a fan favorite of the “Expendables” series and a body-building legend, confirmed that he would not be returning for the fourth film in his role as Trench. Similarly, “Expend4ables” marks the end of the road for Sylvester Stallone, who has announced his departure from the franchise after this installment, handing over the reins to Statham’s character, Lee Christmas. However, Stallone’s presence in Hollywood will continue, as his successful series “Tulsa King” enters its second season on Prime Video, alongside his venture into reality TV with “The Family Stallone.”
