Businesswomen visit Yucatán’s Control, Command, Communications, Computing, Coordination and Intelligence Center (C5i)

The Secretary of Public Security, Commissioner General Luis Felipe Saidén Ojeda, received on Wednesday, May 17, members of the Mexican Association of Business Women (AMEXME), Yucatán Chapter, led by its president, Dr. Thelma Leticia Torres Dorantes.

They learned about the Control, Command, Communications, Computing, Coordination, and Intelligence Center (C5i), from where the video surveillance system is operated with 5,775 cameras across the state, 219 license plate reading arcs, and the network of 2,392 smart traffic lights.

They also observed how the emergency numbers 9-1-1 and anonymous reporting number 089 work in the C5i Center, with specialized personnel, which in addition to conventional services have a specific program to help people with disabilities.

Commander Saidén Ojeda explained to the businesswomen the different actions that make up the “Safe Yucatan” strategy implemented by the State Government, especially in the incorporation of modern information and communication technologies, vehicle units for surveillance services, citizen security and emergencies, as well as the continuous training of the law enforcement agents.

The AMEXME members, some of them originally from other Mexican states and with several years of living in Yucatán, expressed their confidence in the State Police: “The peace we feel living in Yucatán is invaluable; “The work of the police translates into our peace of mind”

Commander Saidén Ojeda was accompanied in this meeting by the undersecretaries of Road Services and the State Investigative Police (PEI), Rafael Chaires Cuevas, and Carlos Flores Moo.
