Bulldog’s Reaction to New Rainboots Has Internet in Hysterics

A social media video of a bulldog heading out into the rain while dressed up in a raincoat and four neon boots has melted hearts across the internet.

The viral video, which has been viewed more than 13.7 million times since it was first shared to Instagram on November 10, captured the bulldog tottering around in the gloomy weather while wearing his new rainy day getup which featured a patterned blue hood.

Viewers were treated to a clip of the bulldog modeling his neon boots and raincoat, with little enthusiasm, while walking in a shallow puddle. To add to its comic timing, the viral moment played against upbeat dance music. The result has left plenty of users in hysterics.

“The fact that he’s stomping to the beat,” one user wrote.

Another user added: “Right to the beat.”

The dog’s owner, who manages the dog’s Instagram and TikTok accounts, shared in the post that they’d bought Mr. Nelson the “new raincoat and boots”.

The bulldog lives with his sibling Rose, another bulldog who regularly features in the social media posts that their owner creates. The pair have amassed over 400,000 followers across both their Instagram and TikTok accounts.

The post had been captioned: “Heading to the park like.”

According to the American Kennel Club, bulldogs don’t fare well in extreme weather conditions.

“Summer afternoons are best spent in an air-conditioned room as a Bulldog’s short snout can cause labored breathing in hot and humid weather,” the pet registry writes on its website.
