Marvel Comics is giving a second print to Deadpool: Badder Blood #1 by Rob Liefeld, as well as to Loki #1 and Spider-Man #9, the latter of which gets a standard second printing thanks to Spider-Boy. These reprints help comic book retailers catch up on high-demand titles and help publishers replenish stock. Boom Studios is also releasing a second printing of Fence: Redemption #1, a GLAAD Media Award-nominated sports comic book series. Unfortunately, delays are expected for Cult of Carnage: Misery #1 and Extreme Venomverse #1 second printing and 1:25 ratio variants due to printer errors. On the other hand, the second printing of Planet of the Apes #2 has been cancelled. Finally, Star Wars #35 is also receiving a second printing. Welcome to another edition of Printwatch! We bring you the latest on comic books being reprinted for the direct market of comic book stores by publishers and pushed out, outside of the usual catalogue process, whether by Diamond, Lunar, or PRH.
Printwatch: Yesterday, Bleeding Cool noted that Marvel Comics is giving a second print to Deadpool: Badder Blood #1 by Rob Liefeld, including a 1:25 ratio variant. It will be doing the same to Loki #1 and Spider-Man #9, courtesy of Spider-Boy, all set to be published on July 19th. While we had no covers earlier, we do have a look at the one for Deadpool.
Printwatch: There’s more! We also have the cover for the third printing of Spider-Man #7, which we talked about a week ago, featuring Spider-Boy front and center.
Printwatch: And we have just gotten word that Star Wars #35 from Marvel Comics is getting a second printing too, set for July 19th. However, the second printing for Planet of the Apes #2 has been cancelled.
Printwatch: Also, there may be delays due to printer errors for the second prints of Cult Of Carnage: Misery #1 and Extreme Venomverse #1 second printing and 1:25 ratio variants.
Printwatch: Boom Studios is also going for a second printing of Fence: Redemption #1, the first issue of a new four-issue limited series in the GLAAD Media Award-nominated sports comic series from C.S. Pacat, Johanna the Mad and Joana LaFuente, out on July 5th. “FENCE is back!” says Filip Sablik, President, Publishing & Sales, Boom Studios. “C.S. Pacat, Johanna the Mad, Joana, and Jim’s triumphant return to single issue format has once again made us all superfans of the all-star characters of Halverton!”
