AI chatbot Krutrim: India’s indigenous developed chatbot ‘Krutrim’ has been publicly rolled out today, February 26, as announced by its founder and OLA CEO Bhavish Aggarwal in an X post. Calling it a first-generation product and a start, Bhavish said that the chatbot would have ‘some hallucinations’ but ‘much lower for Indian contexts than other global platforms’.
Bhavish said Krutrim has embedded strongly into Indian values and data with over 10+ Indian languages and ready to assist in English, Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Marathi, Kannada, Gujarati, and even Hinglish.
He referred the start of Krutrim as the dawn of a new era in the AI computing stack for India. “We will aim to innovate alongside the world and define future paradigms”, he added.
The AI computing stack refers to the collection of hardware and software technologies that are specifically designed to support artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) tasks.
How to use Krutrim:
You can easily use the public beta version of the AI chatbot. Note that a beta version is not a final product that is available in a public domain for testing, typically by a limited number of users outside the company that is developing it, before a full-fledged roll out.
Step 1: Go to this link – chat.olakrutrim.com/home
Step 2: Enter your phone number.
Step 3: Enter OTP received on your phone number.
You are ready to use the AI chatbot.
Last month, Krutrim hit the headlines when it became a Unicorn company with a valuation above $1 billion after raising $50 million in a funding round. Krutrim is founded by Bhavish Aggarwal who is also the founder of OLA Cabs and OLA Electric.
