Larian Studios has unveiled a preliminary roadmap for the upcoming hotfixes and patches for Baldur’s Gate 3.
Although no specific dates have been provided, players now have an idea of what to anticipate in the future.
According to Swen Vincke, the head of Larian, hotfix 4 is next in line, followed by Patch 1 and Patch 2.
Patch 1, which was confirmed to be under development last week, will bring more than 1,000 fixes and enhancements, while Patch 2 will incorporate player-requested features.
So far, three hotfixes have been released, addressing various issues such as bugs, saved files, graphics, stability, and even “trouser snakes.” One of the hotfixes even increased the size of savegames to accommodate each player’s “personal tapestry.”
Baldur’s Gate 3 was released on August 3 for PC and quickly climbed to the top 10 of all-time most concurrent players on Steam. It accounted for 28% of all player time on Steam during its opening weekend.
The studio recently shared some interesting statistics from the opening weekend, showcasing player choices, actions, and deaths in an infographic.
PlayStation 5 players can get their hands on Baldur’s Gate 3 on September 6. However, an Xbox Series X/S release date has yet to be announced.
