Baldur’s Gate 3 players can change appearance in-game, when Larian Studios is done cooking

Baldur’s Gate 3 has been incredibly well-received by players, earning the top spot on Metacritic this year. However, there are still areas where the game can be improved, and developer Larian Studios is taking note of player feedback. One highly requested feature is the ability to change your character’s appearance in-game, even after the initial character creation process.

Currently, players are unable to customize their appearance beyond changing their clothing. If you want a new hairstyle, different piercings, or tattoos, you’re out of luck. However, Larian Studios has confirmed on Twitter that they are working on implementing this feature. In response to a tweet from a player begging for the ability to change their look, Larian’s director of publishing, Michael Douse, simply stated “Things are being cooked,” indicating that the feature is indeed in development.

While there is no timeframe for when this feature will be added to Baldur’s Gate 3, it’s exciting news for players who want to have more control over their character’s appearance. Whether you’re a perfectionist who wants the ideal character or someone who enjoys enhancing their roleplay experience through appearance changes, this feature is definitely something to look forward to.
