In its latest ad, Apple highlights the iPhone 15’s camera capabilities, specifically the focus editing features.
If you are unfamiliar with it, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus feature the ability to adjust the focus of a photo after it has been captured. The feature is part of the iPhone 15’s Portrait Mode and can be accessed in the editing section of the photo after it has been taken. Apple‘s latest ad is titled “Album Cover” and takes into account a group of three people selecting a picture for their album cover.
The band member uses the iPhone 15 to edit pictures of the trio, potentially part of the album cover. The other band member is trying to adjust the focus on herself in the background, blurring her bandmates to steal the spotlight. The quarrel continues as both go back and forth to adjust the focus on themselves. Ultimately, the third band member was asked for his opinion, and he changed the focus on himself, ending the fiasco with a “turn your photos into portraits” tagline. You can use the Wide-angle lens on the iPhone 15 to use the focus editing feature. All you have to do is head to the photo and tap the edit button. In the Edit interface, tap on the aperture icon and choose the level of background blur with a slider. You can also select the subject to focus on.
