However, the technology giant might have plans to expand to other regions, as hinted through leaked visionOS code, revealing that Apple intends to add support for 12 languages. These additions are evidence that the company plans to enter more markets, which will only benefit its first head-mounted wearable release.

The leaked code was spotted by MacRumors, highlighting that the Apple Vision Pro will add support for the following languages. As mentioned above, there are 12 of them, but for the moment, the report states that the AR headset may arrive in nine countries, allowing Apple to increase its market share before its rivals even put their headsets into mass production.

Based on the evidence, the Apple Vision Pro could launch in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore, the U.K., and Samsung’s home turf, South Korea. Apple’s biggest rival in the smartphone space is rumored to announce its own mixed-reality headset in the second half of this year, giving the Apple Vision Pro sufficient time on its hands. Earlier, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that the visionOS-powered device would arrive in various markets before WWDC 2024 kicks, while also mentioning that his previous shipments estimate of 500,000 units has increased to 800,000 units for 2024.
Kuo did not mention if these 800,000 units would be recorded from the U.S. market alone, but since the Apple Vision Pro will potentially launch in other countries, it has the opportunity to reach the analyst’s updated estimates quite comfortably. However, the $3,499 price tag might still be a barrier for most consumers in the U.S., and with the device launching overseas, it may cost slightly more, making it even more difficult for potential buyers to make this product their daily driver.
