Apple Revenue: iPhone, iPad sales drop as Apple’s revenue clocks at $81 billion

The iPhone is widely recognized as one of the most iconic devices in the world and serves as Apple’s flagship product. However, recent sales figures indicate a slight decline. Apple reported quarterly revenue of $81.8 billion, representing a 1% decrease compared to the previous year.

The revenue generated from iPhone sales totaled $39.67 billion, a 2% decrease from the same quarter last year. Despite this, Apple experienced record revenue and double-digit growth in India, with a significant number of Android users making the switch to iPhone, particularly in China. This dip in sales is not uncommon for Apple during this time of year, as consumers typically wait for the release of the latest iPhone model before making a purchase.

On the other hand, iPad sales did not fare well, with revenue down by 20% compared to the previous year, reaching $5.79 billion. Mac sales also faced a decline of 7% in revenue during the quarter. The only category that showed growth for Apple in terms of hardware was Wearables, with revenue from Apple Watch, AirPods, and other products reaching $8.3 billion, a 2% increase from the previous year.

Apple’s Services division, which includes iCloud and the App Store, experienced strong growth with revenue totaling $21.2 billion, up from $19.1 billion compared to the previous year. Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, expressed satisfaction with the company’s performance, highlighting the all-time revenue record in Services and robust iPhone sales in emerging markets.
