Amazfit is rolling out an update to the new Active smartwatch. The wearable launched in October with features like GPS tracking and the AI Zepp Coach. The new software, focusing on workout tools, was announced on the brand’s social media channels with a change log detailing the more significant changes.
New features include an upgraded Zepp Coach, which can provide training plans specifically for 3 km, 5 km or 10 km runs. It is unclear whether workout schedules will be available for longer-distance races in the future. You can now view your performance data in real-time with updates provided by PeakBeats. The tool can already show analysis after your workout for metrics like VO₂ Max, Training Load, Training Effect and Recovery Time. Another statistic that can now be viewed post-workout is your heart rate recovery; this information can be found in the Zepp app.
Amazfit also hints at an improved UI, with a data snapshot available via a simple wrist gesture. The change log suggests other enhancements and bug fixes with the update, though it does not detail these. Owners of the Amazfit Active smartwatch can download the update via the Zepp app by going to Profile > Choose your smartwatch > Check for Updates. It remains unclear whether the update for the Active smartwatch is already available for all users or if it is being released in waves.
