Adobe releases new Firefly generative AI models and web app: All the details

Adobe has released a new web app for Firefly, which offers a creative playground for exploring AI-assisted creative expression. Additionally, the AI capabilities of Firefly are now deeply integrated into creative workflows across Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Express, and Adobe Experience Cloud and are available for commercial use.
Firefly’s foundational generative AI models for images, text effects, and vectors support text prompts are now available in over 100 languages, making it easy for users worldwide to create content.
Adobe has integrated Firefly-powered features into several Creative Cloud apps, such as Generative Fill and Generative Expand in Photoshop, Generative Recolor in Illustrator, and Text to Image and Text effects in Adobe Express. These native integrations provide customers with even more creative power to experiment, ideate, and create in brand new ways. Adobe plans to continuously add Firefly-powered features to more Creative Cloud apps and workflows for photography, imaging, illustration, design, video, 3D, and beyond.
Firefly for Enterprise, with its generative AI capabilities, is now generally available for Adobe GenStudio and Express for Enterprise. Moreover, Adobe is collaborating with Enterprise customers to enable them to personalise models using their own assets and brand-specific content. Customers will also receive access to Firefly APIs, empowering them to embed Firefly into their own ecosystems and automation workflows. With Firefly for Enterprise, businesses can now obtain intellectual property (IP) indemnification for content generated by most Firefly-powered workflows.
Top global brands such as Accenture, IHG Hotels & Resorts, Mattel, NASCAR, NVIDIA, ServiceNow, and Omnicom are collaborating with Adobe to explore how Firefly can enhance their content supply chains, drive efficiencies, and reduce costs.
Adobe is launching a new credit-based model for generative AI in Creative Cloud with “fast” Generative Credits, enabling text prompts to transform into image and vector creations in Photoshop, Illustrator, Express and the Firefly web app. Once the plan-specific credits are exhausted, subscribers can purchase more through a Firefly subscription plan or a subscription pack from November 2023.
