A Comprehensive Guide on Evolving Eevee in Pokemon Go

Ever since its debut in Generation 1, Eevee has captured the hearts of Pokemon fans worldwide. This lovable fox-like Pokemon has become particularly popular because of its unique ability to evolve into multiple different forms, affectionately known as “Eeveelutions”. Whether you’re looking for a Dark-Type, Fairy-Type, or even a Grass-Type Pokemon, Eevee has got you covered in Pokemon Go. In this guide, we’ll explore how to obtain each evolution in the game.

Eevee has a total of eight possible evolutions, each with its own requirements. Initially, you can force Eevee to evolve once by giving it a specific nickname. However, this nickname can only be used once, so subsequent evolutions will require alternative methods.

To ensure that you obtain the desired evolution, it’s crucial to check the evolution outline. If it doesn’t display the correct evolution or shows a question mark, do not proceed with the evolution. You can reset this by turning the game off and on.

The evolutions that can be obtained through the nickname method are Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon. Vaporeon is a Water-Type Pokemon and can be evolved by giving Eevee the nickname “Rainer”. Similarly, Jolteon, an Electric-Type Pokemon, can be obtained by nicknaming Eevee “Sparky”. Lastly, Flareon, a Fire-Type Pokemon, is achieved by using the nickname “Pyro”.

For the remaining evolutions, different methods must be utilized. To obtain Leafeon, a Grass-Type Pokemon, use the nickname “Linnea” and then utilize a Mossy Lure on a nearby Pokestop before evolving Eevee. This ensures that the evolved Pokemon will be Leafeon. The same principle applies to Glaceon, an Ice-Type Pokemon. By using the nickname “Rea” and a Glacial Lure on a Pokestop, any evolved Eevee will transform into Glaceon.

To evolve Eevee into Espeon, a Psychic-Type Pokemon, you can either use the nickname “Sakura” or make Eevee your Buddy Pokemon, walk 10km, and evolve it during the day while it remains your Buddy. Similarly, to evolve Eevee into Umbreon, a Dark-Type Pokemon, use the nickname “Tamao” or walk 10km with Eevee as your Buddy Pokemon and evolve it at night. The Buddy Pokemon requirement must be met in both cases.

Lastly, to evolve Eevee into Sylveon, a Fairy-Type Pokemon, the nickname “Kira” is required. However, this evolution depends on achieving a high friendship level with Eevee. Keep Eevee as your Buddy Pokemon and earn 70 Buddy Hearts to unlock the ability to evolve it into Sylveon. Once again, ensure that Sylveon is displayed as the evolution before proceeding.

By following these methods, you can obtain all the different evolutions of Eevee in Pokemon Go. Good luck on your evolutionary journey!
