Our Version of Pokémon TCG Classic Will Differ From Japan’s

The international release of the Pokémon TCG Classic has generated both excitement and disappointment among fans. While some elements have been left out and new ones added, the English version will feature a unique lottery holofoil pattern exclusive to this product, similar to its Japanese counterpart. Unfortunately, unlike the Japanese set, the card borders will not be holofoil, which is a letdown for many enthusiasts. The previewed cards from the recent World Championship event, shared by PokeBeach, do look promising, including a Mr. Mime card that will not appear in the Japanese set.
