Addressing This Problem Took ‘Superman & Lois’ Longer Than Expected

Editor’s Note: The following contains spoilers for Season 3 Episode 12 of Superman & Lois.

The CW’s Superman & Lois is a smart and creative show that follows the lives of Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch) as they move to Smallville to raise their teenage sons, Jordan (Alexander Garfin) and Jon (played by Michael Bishop). However, the show has been facing a recurring issue with Jordan’s bad attitude since the first season.

Throughout all three seasons, Jordan has consistently displayed selfish and toxic behavior. He often sees himself as a victim and blames others for his problems. This is evident in his strained relationship with his twin brother and his possessive and manipulative behavior towards his love interest, Sarah.

Furthermore, Jordan’s possession of superpowers has only fueled his ego and recklessness. He uses his powers to dominate others and seeks attention and validation. This behavior has become increasingly problematic and has started to affect the lives of those around him.

In the recent episode, Jordan’s behavior reaches a breaking point when he publicly reveals his powers and disregards the safety of others. This prompts his parents to reprimand him, but he shows no remorse and even uses his powers against his own father. This is a clear indication that Jordan is incapable of handling the responsibility of his powers and is heading down a dangerous path.

It is clear that Jordan’s behavior cannot be excused solely based on his teenage status. While his brother Jon and Sarah are learning from their mistakes and growing as individuals, Jordan continues to spiral out of control without any desire to take responsibility for his actions.

The show needs to address this issue and humble Jordan before it’s too late. Continuing to ignore or excuse his behavior will only alienate viewers and undermine the show’s integrity. Jordan should be held accountable for his actions and given the opportunity to develop into a better person. This is crucial for the future of the show and its characters.

Superman & Lois is a critically acclaimed series, but it must confront the problem of Jordan’s behavior head-on and make the necessary changes to maintain its quality. The recent episode is a step in the right direction, but it should have happened much sooner. It is time for Jordan to learn from his mistakes and become a more likable and responsible character.

Superman & Lois airs on The CW every Tuesday.
