The True Antagonist of ‘Selling Sunset’ Season 6 Revealed: Chrishell Stause

The glitz, glamor, and drama are making a comeback in season 6 of Selling Sunset. While there have been a few changes among the women at the Oppenheim Group, with the addition of Nicole Young and newcomer Bre Tiesi, the original cast members still remain. Christine Quinn, the notorious villain from season 5, has left the show, leaving fans curious about who would step into her shoes. Although it’s unclear what Christine is currently up to, she has expressed her desire to pursue acting in big television shows, taking inspiration from Lady Gaga. So, who is the new villain? It may not be who you expect. Bre, the newest agent in the office, has wasted no time in stirring up trouble. With her background as a former model and current real estate agent, and being the mother of Nick Cannon’s child, she brings a unique dynamic to the group. However, her entrance into the group has been met with some resistance, particularly from Chelsea Lazkani. Bre has set firm boundaries and has a rough exterior, which has led to her being labeled as the new villain. However, it begs the question: is it really Bre, or is it Chrishell Stause? Chrishell’s sweet and innocent exterior may be the perfect disguise for her nefarious intentions. The perception of Bre as rude or brash is due to the boundaries she has set. Chelsea takes issue with Bre’s lifestyle choices, particularly her open relationship with Nick Cannon. In one episode, Chelsea, a devout Christian, expresses her disapproval of Bre’s relationship. Bre defends herself by stating that her personal life is not Chelsea’s business. From that moment, Bre is seen as the villain because she asks her colleagues not to discuss her personal life. However, having boundaries and valuing privacy should not be grounds for vilification. In fact, boundaries and privacy are highly regarded in today’s world of therapy and social media. Nevertheless, as a newcomer to the tight-knit Oppenheim Group, Bre is not immune to judgments. On the other hand, Chrishell, who is not a newbie, has shown a different side of herself in the past seasons. In season 5, she kept her relationship with Jason Oppenheim a secret, which raised suspicions among her colleagues. Although the relationship ended and she received sympathy from viewers, Chrishell is not as innocent as she appears. Her new relationship with G-Flip and her distractions from real estate have caused tension in the office. Additionally, her arguments with Nicole and Chelsea during meetings and open houses have escalated to a breaking point. During a dinner in Palm Springs, Chrishell made harsh accusations about Nicole, including claims of drug use and insanity. This deeply affected Nicole, as her professional reputation was at stake. Instead of apologizing to Nicole, Chrishell attempted to win back the support of her colleagues by complimenting each one individually. However, her lack of remorse and inability to take responsibility for her comments showed a sinister side to her. Perhaps Chrishell’s previous image as the girl next door is starting to crack, revealing her true nature. While Bre may have come into the show with confidence and a bold personality, her willingness to engage in conversations and accept responsibility for her actions sets her apart from being the true villain. It is often those who receive the most sympathy who turn out to be the unexpected antagonists. The question remains: who will Chrishell be next season? To find out, don’t miss all six seasons of Selling Sunset, available on Netflix.
