ZTE Nubia Z18 mini with Snapdragon 660 SoC and Dual-Rear Cameras Launched


ZTE has today announced a new Z series smartphone dubbed as ZTE Nubia Z18 mini in China. The smartphone comes with the price tag of 1799 yuan ($ 286/ Rs. 18,650 approx.) for the 64GB storage variant, 2099 yuan ($ 334/ Rs. 21760 approx.) for the 128GB storage variant and lastly, the Limited Provence Edition with 128GB storage in Purple color is priced at 2199 yuan ($ 349/ Rs. 22,800 approx.). The regular variant comes in Black, White, Blue and Pink color options. The smartphone is available for pre-order starting today and goes on sale in China from April 19th.

Talking about the specifications, the ZTE Nubia Z18 mini runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with Nubia UI skin on top of it. It sports a 5.7” FHD+ (2160 × 1080 pixels) 18:9 In-Cell display with 85% NTSC color gamut and 2.5D curved glass on top of it. The smartphone is powered by a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 512 GPU and NeoSmart AI engine. It offers 6GB of RAM and 64GB/ 128GB of internal storage, which cannot be further expanded.

For photography, the ZTE Nubia Z18 mini comes equipped with a dual-rear camera setup with a combination of a 24MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a 5MP secondary sensor along with PDAF, CAF hybrid focus for 0.1-second quick focus and dual-tone LED flash. On the front, it has an 8MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12um pixel size, 80-degree wide-angle lens. It also comes with Face Unlock feature that scans up to 106 facial points and also lights up the screen when you lift the phone to unlock the phone quickly.

The ZTE Nubia Z18 mini is fueled by a 3450mAh battery. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port. There is also a fingerprint scanner on the back. It measures 148 × 70.6 × 7.6 mm and weighs 153 grams.
