YouTube TV Released for Amazon Fire TV Devices


Earlier this year, YouTube and Amazon made an agreement for their future services. Today, YouTube’s YouTube TV service released for Amazon’s Amazon Fire TV Devices and Television as per their agreements. Amazon has also made its Prime Video app available for Google-powered devices including Google’s Chromecast a few months back.

The company has shared all the useful information about this new YouTube App in a blog post. If we talk about the app’s compatibility, then the YouTube TV app officially launched on Amazon Fire TV Stick- 2nd generation, the newly launched FireTV Cube, Fire TV Stick 4K and many other Smart Televisions such as Toshiba, Element, Insignia, Westinghouse etc.

Additionally, the YouTube TV app also supports some old generation Fire TV devices. The app supports Amazon Fire TV Cube first-generation, Fire TV second generation, Fire TV.

If you are using the first generation Fire TV or Fire TV Stick, then this app will not run on the devices as it doesn’t support these devices.

Google is spending more and more money for its YouTube-based live-streaming platform i.e. YouTube TV. We already see a lot of streaming services launched by many other giants from which many of them are globally popular with millions of their premium subscribers.

In such a competitive world, YouTube has to offer attractive plans and free contents so that more number of users can try out their service and can subscribe to it. Up till now, YouTube TV added 70 live channels around the US.

You will be able to explore different genres and categories such as Sports, Entertainment, Movies, News etc.

The company has recently acquired Discovery’s entire lineup which includes all the popular channels of the Discovery network such as HGTV, Food Network, and TLC. ESPN, FOX, CNN and many other networks are also available on YouTube TV. You will have an entirely new world of entertainment through YouTube TV.

Thankfully, it is now available on Amazon Fire TV supported devices which will make them able to use it on a big television screen. We will get to hear more about this new tie-up of Google with Amazon in the coming days.
