YouTube Testing Large Video Thumbnails on Web Homepage

YouTube is experimenting with a new design for the web homepage that will change the entire design of the homepage for web users. The new design will make the Video thumbnails much larger. Many users have shared screenshots on Reddit and Twitter with the new homepage design.

According to various reports, Google has been testing different designs for YouTube’s home page. And today, we have found a bunch of screenshots that clears up all the doubts about the homepage of YouTube. The new design changes the Thumbnails of the Videos.

The new larger video thumbnails are depending upon the size of the display. Smaller Screens will only feature two video thumbnails in a row. While bigger screens will feature up to four video thumbnails.

The Thumbnails will feature the video name, views of the video and upload time right on the front page. You don’t need to open a particular video to get the details from. Just launch YouTube’s official website and get all the useful details from the homepage. There is a special Channel Avatar on the left as well.

The other design of the Videos will be the same. The app drawer, navigations and other functions will be the same. If you have a larger screen, only then you will like this new interface or we can say a new design of YouTube. For smaller screens, this new interface looks annoying as they will see larger thumbnails of the videos which don’t look impressive at all.

The new layout has been served to a limited number of users only. And it is still unclear for how many users get the new layout. We are not able to get the view of this video thumbnail on YouTube. The new layout is released for a limited number of users and many of them have shared their screenshots on Twitter and Reddit as mentioned above.

People who have shared Screenshots of the Layouts didn’t like the redesigned interface as scrolling through big thumbnails is very difficult. Many of them have said that YouTube’s new layout is disorganized.
