Youtube Swaps Trending Tab For Explore Tab On Ios And Android App

As of now, the tech giant has already pushed the update which you can download to see the changes reflected in your YouTube app. This change has been pushed to both Android as well as iOS version of YouTube. The new Explore tab replaces the Trending tab at the bottom of the app, while revamped curation and links to various destination pages and categories makes it easier to watch videos about topics you’re actually interested in.

YouTube also says the Explore tab will help promote “Creators and Artists on the Rise” before regular trending videos to help introduce viewers to new and emerging channels.

YouTube Explore

If we talk about the trending videos, you can find them now according to yoru favorite categories which YouTube has categorised as Music, Gaming, News, Movies & Shows, Fashion & Beauty, and Learning. So, you can find all the trending videos category-wise in YouTube. This is a nice way to give users access to popular content based on their interests. YouTube plans to add more destination pages over time and is open to feedback on the same. So let them know what it is that you like watching.

According to YouTube, “As you scroll through your Explore feed, you’ll see “Creator on the Rise” and “Artist on the Rise” before other trending videos. New creators and artists emerge on YouTube every day, so we hope this makes it easier for you to discover their content and connect with them and their communities!” So for example, if there is a new popular game streamer who is doing content similar to what you enjoy, then this is the place you’ll get exposed to him.
