YouTube Returns to the Fire TV, Prime Video makes its Chromecast Debut

After an absence of more than one year, the official YouTube app has made its way back into the Amazon FireTV/Firestick Platform. This is due to Amazon and Google sending their long-standing dispute. Similarly, the Amazon Prime video is now available on Chromecast and Android TV devices.

Users with the fire TV device can now enjoy YouTube content in 4K resolution at 60p with HDR.

Moreover, support for the Alexa voice remote is provided. You can find the app in the ” Your apps and Channels” Section. YouTube TV and YouTube kids are also scheduled to arrive on the fire TV later this year.

The Amazon Prime video app which did not have casting support has received a boost as well. Amazon has provided the app with casting support for Android and IOS platform. This basically lets the users cast video from the app on to any of the Chromecast, Android TV, etc. You can download the Amazon Prime Video App from Google Play Store.

The coming together of the tech giants has provided mutual benefit to themselves as well as the customers. Users can now experience the services of both companies on their devices, which was not possible, until now.
