YouTube Dark Theme begins Rolling out to Android Users

YouTube has finally rolled out dark mode for Android users which was made available for desktop last year while for iOS this March.

The dark theme is more of dark gray rather than a completely dark black. The channels would still retain their colorful app bars and the major change of the dark theme would be seen on the video page where the video player is black before it fully loads.

A report by 9to5Google said that the feature has been added with notification for users to prompt. The feature could be availed by the user as it comes with an option to make it switch off or on.

Users were bit surprised and few thought that there is some malfunction in their phone or bug but it was the new feature of YouTube which was introduced.

The Dark theme can be fined in the ‘General’ section below the of the below ‘Remind me to take a break’  option. A user can Enable dark theme throughout the app settings by toggling the aptly-titled ‘dark theme’ option. And for those who are happy with the earlier light theme could continue with it.

The background of the app settings, search pages and everything that was earlier in white would take the dark theme. The compact minimized video player along with all its tabs would get the similar pattern. Comment us below your reaction on this new feature and stay tuned with TechnoCodex for more updates.
