YouTube app adds HDR support to the newly launched iPhones i.e. iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro. According to Macrumors’ analysis, the YouTube app has been updated recently and added a new HDR Support.

iPhone X was the first iOS device to get the HDR support officially through the YouTube app. And now the same HDR support added for the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro.

If you have recently bought a new iPhone, then you can simply check for the HDR update on the YouTube app. First, you have to make sure that the YouTube app is updated. Go to the App Store and search for YouTube and check if there is any update available.

If you see an update of the app is there, kindly update YouTube app right now. Once the app is updated to its latest version, go to the main Apps menu and launch the YouTube app.

Now, to check whether you are watching the video at its highest quality, just go to the video and tap on to the three dots button from the top right corner of the video page. You would see a drop-down menu with the resolution of that particular video.

There you should see an HDR option. You can select the video quality as per the Internet connectivity and your device’s support. However, the same option will not be displayed on non-supported devices. It plays videos at 1080 Pixel resolution and 60 fps.

This is not a major update to cover, but it is obviously great news for the people who watch videos and movies on YouTube through their smartphones. This would definitely add some more value to their entertainment.
