Fornite has finally enabled its players to use a single account on different consoles. This means you can share the inventory items of your single account on different platforms. This includes your V-bucks and Cosmetics. However, Epic Games has mentioned some conditions, if you want to do so, your inventory will be locked for two weeks before your inventory get merged with your primary account.
Merging your Fortnite account is a simple and clear process. First of all, you need to have your primary account which you want to use it further. Thereafter, you have to select your secondary account on which you want to share your inventory. Once you select your secondary account, it will instantly get linked your primary account on Console login. However, Epic Games has also laid some criteria for players to get this ability. To be eligible for linking, one account must have played on Xbox One or Switch and the other on PS4 before September 28, 2018.
All the items which you want to transfer depend upon the Game Mode you play. If you are a Battle Royale player you can transfer your cosmetics and V-bucks. However, if you are Save the World player, you can merge Llamas, Defenders, Heroes, Schematics, Survivors, XP, Evolution and Perk Materials.
Epic Games has added this ability after Sony has allowed cross-console play at PlayStation 4. But when the Fortnite launched in Nintendo Switch, players observed that their accounts get locked if they have played the game with that account on PlayStation 4. So, looking forward to this issue, Epic Games has added this ability on Fortnite.
So, if you have fulfilled the criteria and is planning to merge your account on different platforms, be prepared to wait for two weeks as your inventory gets locked for two weeks.
