Today, the Chinese Electronics Giant, Xiaomi has announced that the company’s future smartphones for International markets will be shipped with Google’s Apps. The company has confirmed the pre-install Google Apps and Messages on their future phones on their official forum page.

If you have a Xiaomi’s smartphone that is running on the Global or EEA ROM, you won’t have the MIUI’s dialer and other MIUI based apps installed on your device. Due to “privacy laws and restrictions around the globe”, the Chinese company is giving up on those apps.

We have to accept the fact that Xiaomi’s smartphones offer Google’s Messages and other apps that work on Google Mobile Services. The company is now taking a different step for the global variants that will be able to use the Google’s apps with pre-install feature.

Google Messages and Google Phone app offered by Xiaomi on many of its devices and we have seen many old-age Xiaomi phones with these two apps installed.

In a nutshell, Xiaomi’s smartphone running on the European Economic Area (EEA) or global (Global) MIUI software will be launched with the Google Phone app ad Google Messages app installed on it.

After making these two apps available as pre-installed apps on the Xiaomi’s global variants, you won’t be able to record voice calls as the dialer of the MIUI will be shifted with Google’s Phone app. Xiaomi phones allow you to record voice calls through its built-in feature. Google’s Phone app doesn’t support call recording feature and that’s why you won’t be able to record them using the Xiaomi device.

Xiaomi’s most reent smartphone, Mi 9T Pro which was recently launched in the European market comes with the Google’s Phone and Messages app installed on it. So the Xiaomi devices which were launched before the Mi 9T Pro smartphone won’t be able to receive the new update. They will keep on using the same MIUI based dialer and other features on their existing devices.

The company will soon come up with some more information as many of the Xiaomi users don’t know what will be changed on their devices.
