Xiaomi Redmi 5A Rose Gold Colour Variant Launched In India, Goes on Sale Today


Xiaomi Redmi 5A Rose Gold colour variant is the new entry in Xiaomi’s smartphone portfolio. The entry-level smartphone has launched in India with the starting price of Rs. 4,999 for 2GB RAM variant and Rs. 6,999 for the 3GB RAM option. It will go on sale today via Flipkart and company’s official online store as well.

To recall, the Xiaomi Redmi 5A was originally launched in China back in October 2017 in Gold, Rose Gold and Dark Grey colour options. While Xiaomi brings the device in India in December last year only in Dark Grey and Gold colour options.

The Xiaomi Redmi 5A Rose Gold runs on MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat operating system and sports a 5” HD (720×1280 pixels) display with a pixel density of 296ppi. The smartphone is powered by a 1.4GHz 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC coupled with Adreno 308 GPU. It offers 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.

For photography, The Redmi 5A comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture and LED flash; camera features include PDAF, burst mode, panorama mode, HDR mode, and more. On the front, there is a 5MP front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture; it is capable to record 1080p and 720p videos.

The smartphone is fueled by a 3000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 technology. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G with VoLTE, 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and Micro-USB. The handset measures 140.4 x 70.1 mm x 8.35 mm and weighs 137g.
