Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus Real Life Images Leaked on Weibo


We know Xiaomi is going to launch three new smartphones in its Redmi series in coming future, as these three smartphones including Redmi 5, Redmi 5 Plus and Redmi Note 5 were spotted a couple of times on the internet. Now, a couple of real-life images said to be those of the Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus have spotted on Chinese micro-blogging website Weibo.

The Redmi 5 Plus could be the first model Xiaomi will release ahead of the double 11-day sale. Double 11 (11.11) is a popular day for e-commerce in China, and to grab this opportunity several mobile phone companies including Xiaomi preparing for it.

Talking about leak images, the device featuring a full-screen design with an 18: 9 aspect and ultra-thin bezels on all four sides. There is not home button visible on the front due to the high screen-to-body ratio. The rear design looks similar to Redmi Pro which was released last year. It seems equipped with a dual-rere camera setup and an LED flash sits under the camera lens. There is also a fingerprint scanner placed underneath the vertical camera module.

Few earlier rumors suggest that, the Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus sports a 5.99” Full-HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) display. The Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus is also expected to be powered by either Snapdragon 625 or the Snapdragon 450 SoC. The device will come 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM variant. The dual-camera setup is expected to be with a combination of 12MP and 5MP sensors.

Meanwhile, company has already launched the fifth generation of Redmi series – The Xiaomi Redmi 5A, it runs on MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat operating system and sports a 5” HD (720×1280 pixels) display with a pixel density of 296ppi. The smartphone is powered by a 1.4GHz 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC coupled with Adreno 308 GPU. It offers 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.

For photography, The Redmi 5A comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture and LED flash; camera features include PDAF, burst mode, panorama mode, HDR mode, and more. On the front, there is a 5MP front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture; it is capable to record 1080p and 720p videos.

The smartphone is fueled by a 3000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 technology. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G with VoLTE, 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and Micro-USB. The handset measures 140.4 x 70.1 mm x 8.35 mm and weighs 137g.
