Xiaomi Redmi 4 to launch in India this month: Price, Specifications, Features


Xiaomi prepares to announce another Redmi Smartphone in India, after launching the mid-range Redmi Note 4 and entry-level Redmi 4A. Vice President, Xiaomi and Managing Director, Xiaomi India – Manu Kumar Jain took to Twitter and stated the company’s plan to extend its Redmi range of smartphones in the country.

The Chinese manufacturer not yet announces the exact date of launch but we can expect it in coming 2-3 weeks. Redmi 4 is the successor of Redmi 3s from the previous generation of Redmi smartphones. Redmi 3s was availabe at Rs 6,999 in India and Redmi 4 is likely to be launched with a similar price tag.

Redmi 4 looks similar to Redmi Note 4 but with a smaller 5” display, Redmi sports an all-metal unibody design with a 5 inch HD (720×1280 pixel)  display topped by a 2.5D curved glass. Under the shell the device have an octa-core Snapdragon 430 SoC coupled with Adreno 505 GPU. It is equipped with 2GB RAM along with 16 GB internal storage, which is further expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card, the phone support duals sim hybrid card slot. The Redmi 4 has fingerprint sensor mounted on the rear panel.

Talking about camera Redmi features a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies. The device also comes with a 4100mAh battery that supports fast charging and is available in the colour options of Gold, Silver and dark grey.

Xiaomi has aloso announce Redmi 4 Prime or Pro, it is the high-end smartphone in the Redmi series. The phone sports a 5” Full-HD (1080×1920 pixel) IPS display and it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC. It has a 3GB RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable up to 128GB via a hybrid slot. The Redmi 4 Prime comes with a 13-megapixel camera with dual tone LED flash and 5-megapixel front camera. It also has 4100mAh battery with a fast charging feature.
