Xiaomi, the most popular budget smartphone brand in India has today announce that its popular Redmi 4 and Redmi Note 4 smartphones will now be available to purchase from Big Bazaar stores. Xiaomi has partnered with BigBazaar, a leading supermarket chain which has 240+ stores across the country for selling both the smartphones during this festive season.
Manu Kumar Jain, Vice President and Managing Director of Xiaomi India has also said that the partnership was planned a few months back when he met first Kishore Biyani, CEO of Future Group via his official twitter handle. He tweeted a picture of his meeting with Kishore Biyani, Founder and Group CEO of Future Group that owns Big Bazaar as well in July this year.

In the above mentioned tweet he said that no other brand has ever sold phones at a supermarket chain till now. Interested customers can buy the Xiaomi smartphones at special prices at BigBazaar stores. Company is also offering no cost EMI offer on all ICICI bank card.
Xiaomi Remdi Note 4
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 was launched earlier in January in India in three variants –
- 2GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 9,999,
- 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage model is priced at Rs. 10,999,
- 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage model is priced at Rs. 12,999.
All the variants are available in Gold, Grey, Matte Black, and Silver colour variants. There is another Lake Blue Variant launched last month is available only in 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage option.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 runs MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, and sports a 5.5” full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) 2.5D curved glass IPS display with a 401ppi pixel density. Powered by the Snapdragon 625 SoC, it comes with 2GB/32GB, 3GB /32GB and4GB/64GB Memory options. Further more the storage can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 sports a 13MP CMOS sensor camera, equipped with PDAF (phase detection autofocus), an f/2.0 aperture, 77-degree wide angle lens, and dual-tone LED flash. The front camera sports a 5MP CMOS sensor, coupled with an 85-degree wide angle lens.
Connectivity options of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 include 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/g/b/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, Micro-USB, and Infrared. Sensors on board include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, electronic compass, and proximity sensor. Redmi Note 4 battery capacity is rated at 4100mAh battery, and the new Xiaomi smartphone measures 151x76x8.35mm, and weighs 175 grams.
Xiaomi Redmi 4
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 design is likely similar as the Redmi Note 4, it comes with an all-metal body with curved edges, and a 2.5D curved glass on top of the screen. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. It measures 139.2×69.6.x8.6mm, and weighs 150 grams. The Xiaomi Redmi 4 has been launched in three memory/ storage variants in India.
- The 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage variant has been priced at Rs. 6,999,
- the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant has been priced at Rs. 8,999,
- while the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage is priced at Rs. 10,999.
All the varients will be available in Matte Black and Elegant Gold colour options.
Talking about specification, the Redmi 4 runs MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system, the phone comes with a 5” IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colour support and 720 x 1280 pixels with 296 ppi pixel density. The display is covered with a 2.5D curved glass It sports an all-metal body and a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel. Rdmi 4 is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC with the above detailed RAM and Storage options wichi can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
The Redmi 4 also offers good features in terms of photography, it has a 13 MP PDAF camera with f/2.0 aperture, including features like phase detection autofocus, LED flash, touch focus, geo-tagging, face/smile detection, HDR and panorama picture. On the front side the device sports a 5 MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture.
Connectivity options on the Redmi 4 include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB with OTG, Bluetooth v4.1, and 3.5mm audio jack. It also sports an infrared sensor. The phone is powered by a 4100mAh battery which claims to gives 18 days of stand-by time and 36 hours of 3G talk time.
