Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Launched With 6.9-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 636 SoC: Price, Specifications and more
After a series of leaks and teasers, Xiaomi has today finally launched its latest mid-range smartphone- the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 in China. The main highlights of the smartphone include a giant 6.9” full-HD+ display and a dual rear camera setup on the back similar to Note 5 Pro and Redmi Y2 (S2). For those, who hates notches the good news is there is no display notch on top. Furthermore, it has a massive 5,500mAh battery.
Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Price and Availability
The Xiaomi Max 3 comes with the price tag of Yuan 1,699 ($ 252/ Rs. 17,300 approx.) for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage variant and Yuan 1,999 ($ 296/ Rs. 20,400 approx.) for the higher-end 6GB RAM with 128GB storage model. The smartphone is currently available for pre-orders and will go on sale in China starting from July 20th.
Xiaomi Mi Max 3 specifications
The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 runs MIUI based on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. It sports a 6.9” full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) 18:9 IPS 2.5D curved glass display with 520 nits brightness, 84 percent NTSC colour gamut, and 1,500:1 contrast ratio. The smartphone is powered by 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 509 GPU. As mentioned above, it offers 4GB RAM with 64GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage options. The storage can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
For photography, the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup with a combination of a 12MP Sony IMX363 sensor with 1.4-micron-pixel and f/1.9 aperture, dual PD focus along with a 5MP secondary camera with 1.12-micron pixel, f/1.09 aperture, and an LED flash module. It is driven by AI-based semantic segmentation deep learning algorithms that can accurately detect edge for capturing marvelous portrait shots. On the front, it has an 8MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12-micron pixels, and soft light selfie flash. The front camera also has facial recognition technology to unlock the device.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is fuelled by a 5,500mAh with Quick Charge 3.0 18W charging. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port. Sensors onboard include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, electronic compass, gyroscope, infrared sensor, and proximity sensor. There is also a fingerprint scanner on the back. It measures 176.15×87.4×7.99mm and weight is 221 grams.
