Xiaomi Mi Band 5 is Confirmed to Launch with 7 Major Upgrades

Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its next-gen Mi Band 5 on June 11. However, just before its launch, the Chinese smartphone maker is confirming some of the key features of the fitness tracker. In the same move, the company has just confirmed 7 new upgraded features that will be made available on the Mi Band 5.

The company released a posted today that reveals that the upcoming Mi Band 5 will be coming with an extra-large dynamic display. Earlier, the Mi Band 4 came with a 0.95-inch display, but the Mi Band 5 will be coming with a bigger 1.2-inch OLED screen.

Mi Band 7 upgraded features

The poster also revealed that the Mi Band 5 is equipped with professional sensors, however, the company didn’t specifically reveal the details of the sensors. It is speculated to arrive with an enhanced SpO2 sensor. Also, it is expected to come with a dedicated sensor for measuring stress and breathing activity of the user.

Apart from this, the fitness tracker will offer users up to 11 professional sports mode. Also, it will come equipped with a magnetic charging feature. In addition to this, the Mi Band 5 will also support NFC for UnionPay and QuickPass for making digital payments. There are also rumors that it will support Google Pay transactions and it will feature Amazon Alexa assistant.

Women’s health mode and remote-control feature are some of the upgraded features that will be available on the Xiaomi Mi Band 5. Yesterday, the Chinese firm confirmed that it will come in strap color choices like yellow, red, blue, and black. As for the price, the Mi Band 5 is speculated to cost 175 Yuan (~$25) in the home market.
