Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Launched with Launched with 19:9 Display and Dual Rear Cameras: Price, Specifications and More

Alongside the Mi A2, Xiaomi has today also launched a Lite version of the smartphone dubbed as Xiaomi A2 Lite at Spain event. The main highlight of the smartphone is notch display under the budget segment and Android One operating system, meaning that the phone is certified to offer an optimised stock Android experience, and receive timely software and security update. Furthermore, the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite offers top-end specs like Snapdragon 625 SoC, 4000mAh battery, and AI face unlock.

Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite pricing and Availability

The Mi A2 Lite comes with the price tag of Euros 179 ($ 209/ Rs. 14,435 approx.) for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage option, Euros 229 ($ 268/ Rs. 18,460 approx.) for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage option. The smartphone will be available to purchase in Spain starting from August 10th, in France from July 27th, in Italy from August 8th, and will roll out in over 40 countries soon. It will be made available in Blue, Black and Gold colour options.

Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite specifications

The Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite runs on the stock version of Android 8.1 Oreo operating system as it is a part of Android One program. It sports a 5.84” Full HD+ (2280×1080 pixels) 19:9 display with 500 nits brightness, 1500:1 contrast ratio, 84% NTSC Color Gamut. The smartphone is powered by a 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. As mentioned above, it offers 3GB/ 4GB of RAM with 32GB/ 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

For photography, the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup with a combination of a 12MP primary sensor with 1.25-micron pixels, f/2.2 aperture, PDAF and a 5MP secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash support for better lowlight capturing. On the front, it has a 5MP shooter with AI Portrait mode and HDR for selfies and video calls. The front camera also equipped with facial recognition technology to unlock the device.

The Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite is fuelled by a 4000mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack and micro-USB port. Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, infrared, and a proximity sensor. There is also a fingerprint scanner at the back. It measures 149.33×71.68×8.75mm and weighs 178 grams.
