Even though the tweet doesn’t reveal anything about the product, it is being speculated that the company may be gearing up to launch its Quantum Dot LED (QLED) TVs in the country.
The company had launched a QLED TV series — Mi TV 5 — in its home country China back in November 2019 and it could be this series that may now be coming to India. As indicated in the tweet, the launch of this new product is expected to happen this month.
The Mi TV 5 series — that includes Mi TV 5, Mi TV 5 Pro — were launched in three screen sizes of 55-inches, 65-inches, and 75-inches. While the Mi TV 5 offers an LED display, the Mi TV 5 Pro comes with a QLED display. In China, the Mi TV 5 is priced at CNY 2,999 (approximately Rs 33,800) onwards and the Mi TV 5 Pro was launched at CNY 3,699 (approximately Rs 41,700) onwards.
More teasers about the upcoming Xiaomi launch are expected to be posted in the coming weeks
