Xiaomi’s Huami Amazfit BIP and Stratos smartwatches to Launch in India on July 24


With two smart-watches Amazfit BIP and Stratos Xiaomi would introduce its Huami brand in the Indian market, Huami which deals in smart wearable technology has tweeted on Amazfit account the release of two smartwatches on July 24.

The twitter account released the teaser of the rectangular watch while another one seems round shaped.

Among the two Xiaomi Amazfit BIP comes in Onyx Black, Cinnabar Red, White Cloud and Kokoda Green colors and costs US $ 99 (which roughly comes around Rs. 6,770) in the U.S, and the Amazfit Stratos comes in Black color and is currently selling in the US for $199.99 (which would be Rs 13,610) while the price for Indian market would be provided on the launched day which is coming Tuesday.

Looking at the features of Amazfit BIP comes with Always-on reflective touch colour display measuring 1.28 inch which is protected by 2.5 D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 Protection and AF coating. The screen resolution is 176 x 176. The always-on touch display helps in altering calls, messages, emails and other notifications for apps.

For protection, IP68 shields it from water and dust making the user little bit of unrestricted to use it in different conditions with hesitation. The band which is 20 mm width is changeable.

The charging of the device which has not arrived as a challenge for most of the makers is good as the 190 mAh Li-Polymer battery would stand up to 30 days for regular use and would last 45 days with minimal use.

The rounded one among the two watches which surfaced on the Twitter account is more expensive and with better features is Xiaomi Amazfit Stratos

With 1.34 inch display, the display now provides a resolution of 300 x 300 with always-on touch and 2.5 D Gorilla Glass display. It comes with 5 ATM water resistance rating (could bear water pressure till 164 feet / 50 meters).

It packs P 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 512 MB RAM, and 4 GB internal memory.

The Stratos comes with optical heart sensor and tracks multi-sports which are limited in BIP.

The power comes from 290 mAh battery which would last 5 days and with GPS it would stand till 35 hours. Among other features Bluetooth 4.0 LE along with WiFi 802.11 b/g is present.
