Xiaomi BlackShark Gaming Phone First Live Image Leaked on Weibo


Yesterday we have reported about the launch date and alleged promo photos of the upcoming gaming smartphone from Xiaomi under its subsidiary brand Black Shark Technologies. Now, we have got the first live image of BlackShark gaming phone.

The image has been leaked on Chinese micro-blogging site weibo. The BlackShark gaming phone is truly a gaming device; we can see two joysticks, D-pad, and lots of other gaming control button on the device. The smartphone is confirmed to launch on April 13 in China.

Previously, the BlackShark gaming phone was spotted with “BlackShark” codename on AnTuTu around a month ago and then it had also appeared on Geekbench. The smartphone packs premium flagship hardware along with gaming-focused features.

From previous leaks, BlackShark gaming phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system and will feature a Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) display. The smartphone will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. The smartphone is expected to arrive in three memory configurations; it comes in 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage, 8GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage and lastly 8GB of RAM with 256GB of internal storage.

The BlackShark gaming smartphone might come with a 120Hz display, aviation-class cooling system and Quick Charge 3.0 rapid charging technology in order to compete with the Razer Phone that was released last year. Apart from Xiaomi, ASUS and Nubia are also rumored to be working on their gaming phones that are expected to launch later this year.  Both the upcoming gaming smartphones will be competing with Razer Phone.
