The Chinese Manufacturing Giant is working on a new smartphone labeled with “Xiaomi Black Shark Skywalker”. The phone has appeared on a Chinese benchmarking website, Geekbench. The Geekbench’s listing shows off a number of features and specifications of the upcoming Xiaomi’s smartphone.
According to Geekbench’s listing, the new Xiaomi Black Shark Skywalker smartphone will be running on a new Snapdragon 855 Chipset. The phone is said to be powered by a new msmnile. Reports claims that the msm means Snapdragon while the nile means 855 for the Chipset. So, the new smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 855 Processor.
Moreover, the listing also shows that the phone will be running on an advanced and the latest Android version I.e. Android 9.0 Pie Operating System. If we talk about its performance, the phone gets 3,494 points at single-core’s testing and 11,149 points at dual-core’s testing. The same points have been received by other Android devices running on the same Snapdragon 855 processor. The new Chipset will be more powerful than the existing ones which will set new milestone for the future phones.
We know that the company has introduced their first gaming device named Black Shark in the last year’s April Month. The company has then introduced the new Black Shark Helo device which comes with 10GB of RAM and 256GB of storage capacity. Well, the new edition to the Black Shark series is on its way with a new name i.e. Xiaomi Black Shark Skywalker.
The new Black Shark Skywalker smartphone will come with 8GB RAM and not 10GB RAM. The new phone will be a little cheaper compared to the Black Shark’s Helo device.
Interestingly, the new Snapdragon 855 Chipset comes with a 5G support. With the help of X50 LTE modem, the phone will support 5G connectivity in the future. Some other smartphones with Snapdragon 855 won’t support 5G connectivity as they will be running with a different modem and not the X50 LTE one.
That’s all for now about the new gaming device from Xiaomi. We will get to hear more about this new smartphone from the officials in the coming days.
