Windows 7 is having one Last Year Validity of its Security Patch

After five years of its extended security support which ends on January 14, 2020, Windows 7 will not get any security patches. Microsoft officially announced that Windows 7 will stop getting any further security updates after January 14, 2020. After this, there will be no security updates provided for the most widely used operating system.

The company is doing so for encouraging users to switch on Windows 10 instead of Windows 7 which is one of the most widely used and trusted Operating System and now it is likely to come to an end. As the support for Windows 7 will end doesn’t mean that you can’t use Windows 7. You can still use Windows 7 after January 14, 2020, but it will be less secure than now and most probably it will be vulnerable to threats.

Windows 7 which was released on October 22, 2009, is still the most loved Operating System by Microsoft even after a long time span of nine years. But now, Microsoft is focusing on Windows 10 which was released after 5 years of Windows 7 release. Microsoft’s Windows 10 is its latest OS with some advanced features but also had got many bugs throughout the last year. And that’s the reason why many users considered Windows 10 as a Headache. On contrary, it has some good features too, like its boot time is faster than that of other Windows OS and is also perfect for Gaming.

But still millions of users consider using the traditional Windows 7 as it gives a clean and fresh UI and has great working environment. But unfortunately, after this announcement, Windows 7 users have only one last year of time to think whether to switch on Windows 10 or on other platforms like Linux, Chromebook or Mac. If you like Windows 7 the most and don’t want to switch on Windows 10 we will not force you to do that, but will surely recommend you to have an alternative before the last date as after it Windows 7 will not be safer for use.
