WhatsApp Picture-in-Picture Mode For Android to be Rolled out Soon

WhatsApp would soon launch Picture-in-Picture mode for Android users making it easier for watching YouTube and Instagram videos along with messaging on WhatsApp at the same and on the same screen; iOS has already received the feature earlier this year.

Making the user experience better and add useful features is the theme WhatsApp is working on and has been seen with several updates and testing features possibly bring in the app in future. Once the new feature is updated for Android, WhatsApp users could watch videos from Instagram and YouTube and message in the app at the same time.

The WABetaInfo reported WhatsApp recently submitted a new update through the ‘Google Play Beta Program’, bringing the version up to 2.18.234. Once rolled out publicly, the feature is expected to allow users to continue their video calls on a minimized screen while browsing through the rest of their conversation.

The report also claimed that the messenger is working very hard for past many months in order to add this feature, adding new improvements in the next updates. After implementing the feature on WhatsApp for iOS, we can finally affirm it will be possible, in the next updates, to view YouTube and Instagram videos in WhatsApp, using the Picture-in-Picture mode.

The report has also claimed that the feature is not currently available as it is still in the development stage and come out for users after completing the development. We don’t know exactly when it will be available.
