WhatsApp is undoubtedly the most popular messaging app in the world which is not available for mobile users, but also for PC users who can use its service through its web-portal and a PC app. Today, WhatsApp has crossed 2 Billion users mark.

WhatsApp has announced this achievement on their official blog post where they have clearly mentioned that they have achieved a new milestone with 2 billion users in the global market.

In the year 2016, WhatsApp crossed 1 Billion users, in the year 2018, it crossed 1.5 Billion users and today in the year 2020, WhatsApp has crossed the 2 Billion users. If we talk about Facebook, the Social Network has over 2.5 Billion active users on the global platform.

WhatsApp was acquired by Facebook for $19 billion six years ago. The app was found 9 years ago. The app has now reached to over 2 Billion users. WhatsApp is known for its end-to-end encryption which provides a secure environment to the users who can have the chat, voice calls, video calls and can share files and documents from one device to other. WhatsApp has been loaded with a bunch of advanced features making it the best chat app for everyone.

We have heard that WhatsApp to shut off the encryption feature from their messaging app. But today, WhatsApp’s CEO Will Cathcart says that the company has no plans to disable encryption on its service.

We all know how encryption protects the privacy of the users. In fact, it’s a necessity in today’s modern world where most of the people live a secondary life on their mobile phones and computers. The CEO has also added that they are currently working with the security experts to make their services even more secure.

WhatsApp is loaded with numerous feature to make the communication easier and smooth with chatting, voice messaging, voice calling, video calling etc. Many of the users are misusing the platform for illegal activities. WhatsApp is now making the platform more secure by adding some advanced security feature to protect the privacy of the users.

We will see new security updates to the app in the coming days. We will update you on this in the coming days.
