WhatsApp from Facebook Tag Appeared

WhatsApp, the world’s most popular Instant messaging app owned by Facebook, has been sending out new updates for both, Desktop and Mobile phone users with new features and functions since it was launch. The app has become an essential one for every smartphone user.

In fact, WhatsApp is the primary source of communication as it lets you make voice calls and video calls including chat options. It seems like WhatsApp is preparing for a major update. The latest Beta update of WhatsApp shows up a new “WhatsApp from Facebook” tag. This is a beta update and is available for a limited number of users only.

The same feature was recently introduced by Facebook on its photo-sharing app, Instagram. And now the Social Media giant is adding the same feature on its Messaging app i.e. WhatsApp. The beta update of the app clearly shows up the WhatsApp from Facebook tag which was reported by many giant tech blogs.

The new WhatsApp from Facebook option can be found in the Settings menu at the bottom side on the latest WhatsApp Beta update. The new tag doesn’t do anything to the app, it is there just to let others know that the product is owned by Facebook.

Facebook-owned Instagram and WhatsApp and it also have a separate Messenger app. If we combine the number of users of these all platforms, there would be over a billion users. Recently, we have come across a report that mentions that the Social Network giant, Facebook is planning to merge all the platforms i.e. Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp into one cross-platform messaging service.

Facebook is now imposing Facebook Ads to WhatsApp’s Status feature. It already has started its ads on the Messenger app where advertisers can buy space to advertise their products. Now, by doing so, Facebook is planning to introduce advertisements on WhatsApp.

WhatsApp has recently rolled out a new Fingerprint-lock feature to Android users. And now, they are introducing advertisements to its users. We don’t know how users will react to this move. But one thing is for sure, Facebook is trying to generate more revenues from WhatsApp by introducing ads.
