WhatsApp for iPhone Will Get a Redesigned Menu, Add Contact Shortcuts to iOS Share Sheet
WhatsApp has released the latest beta update for iPhone users that brings some new features and options. With the new beta version, WhatsApp contact shortcuts will appear in iPhone’s Share Sheet menu, however, this feature is currently active for a limited number of beta users. However, this feature has some bugs that raise some issues while sharing content from a few apps since the last beta update for WhatsApp.
In addition to that, the new WhatsApp beta update for iPhone also brings a redesigned menu to match the one offered by iOS 13. All these changes have been shared by WABetaInfo that was found in WhatsApp v184.108.40.206 beta for iPhone.
The new version of WhatsApp also adds WhatsApp contact shortcuts in iPhone’s Share Sheet menu. This feature shows small contact bubbles of frequent groups or people users. This will enable you to share anything that you want to share using the iPhone’s Share Sheet. However, this feature is having some issues and is even not showing for some users.
Apart from this, the latest beta for iPhone comes with a redesigned menu. The company had earlier introduced support for the official iOS 13 menu with WhatsApp v220.127.116.11 beta for iOS, but this menu uses iOS 13 APIs and it was impossible to add the same redesigned menu for users having a lower version than iOS 13. To enable support for iOS 12 and versions below, the company introduced its own menu that looks similar to the one offered by iOS 13.
Well, the latest version of WhatsApp beta for iOS is now available to download for those who have opted to test the beta version. So, if you are one among those testers, you can update to the latest version to see these changes.
