WhatsApp for Android is Getting Messenger Rooms Integration with the Latest Beta Update

Last month, Facebook launched a new feature called Messenger Rooms that allows creating a room to have a group video call with up to 50 people. This feature went live just a few days ago, and now it’s being integrated into WhatsApp.

According to the latest report by WABetaInfo, Facebook has silently integrated Messenger Rooms into WhatsApp for Android with the 2.20.163 beta update. With this update, a new option called “Room” has been added to the share menu inside the chat. On tapping this option, it will direct you to Messenger to create a room to have a group video call with up to 50 people.

In addition to that, a shortcut button for Room has also been added in other parts of WhatsApp, like the Calls tab. The report suggests that this feature is currently available to a limited number of beta users in a few countries, including the US. However, the social media giant will expand its reach to more users across the world.
